Respiratory Viral Infection - How I Overcame 24 - 48 hrs.

We all get sick; it's something that comes with when you have a family, kids, and work with people. But what I have learned over time is that it does not have to last for as long as some are experiencing if you know what to do, especially when the first symptoms appear.

Recently my son brought us a present a virus home, after my wife who mostly attended to him for care, got sick.  As I was taking over her job and became the caretaker, I started to feel the all familiar symptoms of the flu, which for me come with these symptoms:

* Body aches

* Tiredness

* Sore joints

* Sore throat

* Headache

I felt like I was a car hit me and I could not do much. Here Is my protocol to support the body in healing a step-by-step process for 24 - 48 hours.

  1. Conserve energy - Don't go to work feeling rundown and achy like that.
  2. Sauna - A dry sauna for 20 - 30 minutes twice a day Is optimal
  3. Magnesium bath (2 cups) with Eucalyptus essential oil drops (15)
  4. Stay Warm - comfortable clothes, heavy socks and sit if in winter, and you have access to a room with a fireplace.
  5. Hydration - mostly herbal teas, my favourite, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger and pepper. Simmer with water, pour into the pot and add lemon juice to it at the end. I drink 6-8 cups a day. In addition Ionized water with electrolytes.
  6. Herbal medicine: There are so many formulas and herbs you can take, but these are the ones I use: Elderberries, Turkey Tail, Olive leaf, Thyme, Licorice, Lemon Balm, Astragalus, and Ginseng. (Key take tinctures every 2-3 hours)
  7. Supplements: Medicinal mushroom blend, Lung Support with Hyssop in it, Vitamine D, C, B Complex, Zinc and Amino acid powdered blend to mix with water.
  8. Myers Cocktail IV - When I had my own clinic, I would have this cocktail regularly. It works and helps when you are feeling run down; It has many of the above-mentioned injected into your blood directly.
  9. Jewish Penicillin - Chicken soup made with the breast bone of a chicken carcass. But I am also a fan of Japanese Ramen soup and Tom Yum Thai soup.
  10. Cupping therapy - It's a lifesaver at our home anytime we are sick we apply suction cups to help each other and myself. In my practice, I do treat people with colds, Respiratory conditions and even pneumonia.
  11. Breathwork - Oxygenating my lungs and body increases the body's innate capacity to heal.
